M-134 Construction Starting June 17, 2024

M-134 will be getting a “facelift” (to increase motorist safety and extend of the lifespan of the roadway) starting June 17, 2024.

The Michigan Department of Transportation is investing about $1 million to resurface nearly 7 miles of M-134 from Nunns Creek to 3 Mile Road in Mackinac County. The work includes double-chip seal, fog seal, over-band crack fill, asphalt mastic repair, aggregate shoulders, guardrail repair and pavement markings.

Work will be performed during daytime hours only. One lane of alternating traffic will be maintained using traffic regulators. An 11-foot lane width restriction will be in place during the project.
